Ways to wear · 3 minute readA familiar outfit. A different feeling. Start with the pieces already in your wardrobe.
You do not need a whole new outfit to change how you feel in one. Start with a familiar base, then let a kimono bring a different proportion, print or colour.
01Start with the familiar
A plain top and straight-leg denim leave room for an expressive print. Wear the kimono open so the base remains visible, and choose shoes you would normally wear with the outfit.
02Let one detail lead
With a black-and-white piece like Plume, keep the base quiet and let the pattern do the work. With a more colourful print, try picking one shade from the fabric for your top or bag.
03Adjust the silhouette
Leave the front open for a long, relaxed line. Add a belt if you prefer a more defined shape. Check the garment length against a piece you own: the same kimono will sit differently on different heights.
